This Independence Day, if you are in the mood for a film that is riveting and raises critical issues of religious identities in real life, Mulk is the must watch movie for you. Based on a true story, the film courted controversy when it was banned in Pakistan on its international release. Starring Rishi Kapoor and directed by Anubhav Sinha, the film asks unflinching questions, portrays all the nuances of our divided society, and shows how religion and nationalism are not enemies.
